Die-hard botanists hate common names, but I think they add interest to the wildflowers. The charming common name, "Kiss-Me-Quick", must have arisen when some poor fellow presented a bouquet of these pretty pink flowers to his sweetheart, just to have them wilt in her hand! She had to kiss him quickly before they were gone! :) I enjoyed seeing these in my parents' yard.
