Fort Loudon State Historical Park is located in Vonore, TN. The original site of the fort, built by the British in 1756, is now submerged below the waters of Tellico Lake. The reconstructed fort is the site of frequent reinactments by English settlers, British "Redcoats", and Cherokee Indians. The reinactors dress, eat and live in similar conditions as the early inhabitants. 1604
