This model of a Skunk Skull shows the different teeth that an omnivore has. The small incisors in the front are used for nipping off small pieces of meat, the long canines (fangs) are used to rip and tear larger pieces of meat, the small molars are used to grind plant material and the larger molars are used to crush meat and bones. The forward-looking eyes give the skunk good depth perception for hunting food.
