The flowers of this plant are a pale pink. When the crushed leaves and roots are mixed with water the juices produce a lather that can be used as soap. This one was blooming along Cades Cove Road in the Smokies. Bouncing Bet is poisonous to humans and animals, ingesting it can cause severe vomiting and diarrhea.
