Virginia Mountain Mint
Pycnanthemum virginianum /Mint Family

This mint does not have the hoary white leaves of some of the other mountain mints. The crushed leaves have a very strong minty smell. Bees, butterflies, and wasps love the flowers. I found this plant blooming in Oak Ridge in mid-July. A close-up photo follows.
