I was excited to catch this Lightning in action during an evening thunderstorm in June 2007. This was the first time I had used my "bulb" shutterspeed setting on my new camera. I propped the camera up on the bedroom windowsill (with the strap around my neck, of course!), set the aperture at wide open, put the camera in the manual setting, and pushed the button. It took nearly 100 shots to get just a couple of usable photos, but I finally got what I wanted! It is hard to believe that a lightning bolt is only 1" - 2" in diameter !
