| Cove Lake State Park is in Caryville, easily accessable from I-75. The park is on Norris Lake. It is a great park for viewing wildlife and aquatic wildflowers.

| The Beaver's Workshop Trail ends at a large creek. There are a few benches where hikers can sit and enjoy the view. Look for a large beaver dam and beaver haulout points along the creek. The Volunteer Loop Trail connects with the new Cumberland Trail. | 515 times.

| The Beaver's Workshop trail is a fairly new walking trail at Cove Lake. It is well-named, several trees have been gnawed by the beavers which swim up the creeks. The huge rodents eat just the bark, the cambium layer beneath the bark, and leaves, they don't eat the wood. Look for chips of wood at the base of a freshly gnawed tree. | 500 times.
