As we were driving through the ranch lands to go to the lighthouse, we spotted an animal in the road. It ran to the side of the road and turned back to look at us. I yelled, "It's a badger!" Curtis' girlfriend had dozed off and awoke with a jolt, but she was excited to see it too. That was the first time any of the 4 of us had ever seen a live one. I had to snap this photo very quickly from the car window so it is not as sharp as I would have liked. These animals are useful because they eat rodents.
