I found this large crawfish (a.k.a crawdad, crayfish, mudbug) in the creek at the University of Tennessee Arboretum. It was very well camouflaged against the mud. Crawfish are crustaceans with 10 legs. The pincers are like those of a lobster, one is used for crushing, the other for tearing and pulling food.
