The flowers of this highly invasive, imported vine have a strong, sweet aroma. Notice how the flower buds bloom white the first day. After being pollinated, the flowers turn yellow and the stamens wilt. Some plants, like this one, have pink buds. Birds spread the seeds when they eat the shiny black berries in the fall. Honeysuckle can be found all over east Tennessee.
