I staked out a spot near the hummingbird feeder in hopes of snapping a few shots of a Ruby-throated hummingbird. These little birds are difficult to photograph because they are always on the go! Even when they do stop to rest, it isn't for long! This young fellow is beginning to look like a "guy" instead of a "gal", when he is fully mature, he will have a full red gorget (neck patch). I don't want to sound like we have "Redneck Hummingbirds" here in Tennessee! :) Well, maybe if the nectar sits too long and ferments... ;)
