We stayed in the town of Frisco and took a shuttle bus to the resorts. The town is at an altitude of ~9,000', some people may have problems with the high altitude. We just experienced a mild, dull headache the first night we were there. 2011

The western-facing slopes on the opposite side of the valley were free of snow. Most ski resorts have north or east-facing slopes, that is where the snow is the best and lasts the longest. 2326

Legend has it that these "offerings" will please the "snow gods" to ensure continuing snowfalls for good spring skiing! This picture was taken from a highspeed chairlift, so it is a bit blurred. 6119

10 These old long, wooden skis are a far cry from today's shorter shaped skis. Check out the "bear trap" bindings. We saw these in an old village museum in Frisco.

12 Hang on Debbie! These "behind the thigh" platter lifts are awful to hang on to, they are slow and jerky as they drag you up the hill. I guess it beats "skating" up the slight incline.

19 Kenny waits inside the shuttle bus hut in Frisco. The shuttle buses are a good way to get from town or from one resort to another without renting a car. They can be a bit hot and crowded, but sometimes you have to sacrifice to enjoy the slopes!

20 Our last day was spent at Keystone. It is a different resort in that it is spread out on 3 different mountains. This picture was taken from the middle mountain. We found it to be the most difficult of the 4 resorts we skied.
