I had seen this sea star in my "Wildlife of the Galápagos" book and hoped to see one, so I was excited when I saw this when I was snorkeling of Isla Isabella one afternoon.
These sea stars are much larger than the Chocolate Chip variety.
This is a very different kind of sea urchin. We also saw the Pencil-spined and Crowned Sea Urchins.
