This pair of Ospreys had just finished mating, I guess she had enough of her fellow and decided to take off! :)

Because crane chicks imprint on whatever they see at an early age, rehabilitators must wear suits that look like adult Whooping Cranes. The suit obscures the person inside and has a crane puppet head which is used for feeding the chick. We saw this suit at a display in the education center of Homosassa Springs State Park in Florida. Normally there isn't a Santa Claus or stockings used on the suit, we were at the park just before Christmas! :)

This Wood Stork "bit off more than it could chew" with this catfish. The bird tried to swallow it for over 15 minutes to no avail.
