Lily Family April 20, 2005 This is a European bulb plant that can overpopulate an area quite quickly. Notice how the flowers are in different stages of blooming. The more mature flowers do look like stars. All parts of the plant are poisonous to humans. Perennial Where seen: Oak Ridge (Three Bends area)
(white variety) /Snapdragon Family The flowers of these plants can be either white or yellow. It is related to the fuzzy-leafed Common Mullein. I found these blooming on Bull Bluff Road in Oak Ridge in late May. Biennial Where seen: Oak Ridge Greenways, Great Smoky Mountains NP, Warrior's Path SP
