Buttercup Family Height: 4" - 8" April 15, 2005 These plants have a beautiful, white, single flower --- talk about putting all your eggs in one basket! "Quinquefolia" means five-leaved. This one was blooming in April at Frozen Head State Park. Anemones have only colored sepals, no petals. Like many other spring, woodland wildflowers, Wood Anemone grows close to the ground. Buttercup Family Rare - Species to be watched in TN Height: 8" - 20" April 14, 2005 It was a real treat to find this Goldenseal flower blooming along a trail in Oak Ridge in mid-April. Each plant has just one flower, another "putting all your eggs in one basket" plant. These plants are in the Buttercup Family. The plants grow a few inches larger after blooming.
