Pea Family This pretty non-native pea is found in much of east Tennessee. It is often found on old homesites. It has green pea-like fruits in the fall. This is one of the plants we had growing on our fence when I was a child. I remember being tempted to eat the seeds, but it's a good thing I didn't --- they are poisonous! The seeds contain glycoside, amine, DABA, ODAP, and phenol and are harmful to not only humans, but sheep, turkeys, rodents, and horses. Vine Perennial Where seen: Oak Ridge, widespread
