Pea Family This is member of the Pea Family. I found it blooming in Oak Ridge in mid-July. Perennial Where seen: Oak Ridge Greenways, Big Ridge State Park, Great Smoky Mountains NP
Pea Family The leaves of this plant have long thin hairs. It gets its name from the way dried seed pods rattle. This photo was taken with my old camera, I couldn't find the plant again when I was in the area with my new camera this year! Unfortunately, a bunch of rednecks had had a major beer party and bonfire where this plant had grown, I may never find it again. Annual Where seen:Piney Falls SNA
