This plant is sometimes called "Jumpseed" because of the way the seeds stick up from the stem. I found these blooming in the Smokies in mid-July. The former genus name was Tovara. Perennial Where seen:Great Smoky Mountains NP, Oak Ridge Greenways, Frozen Head Formerly known as: Tovara virginianum
