We arrived at Grand Canyon National Park near sunset, the best time of day for great shots of the shadows.

During the busy months, the main roads in the park are closed to personal vehicles. Visitors must take shuttle buses to parts of the park. This made getting around slow and a bit difficult. We got a much later start on the hiking trail than we had planned.
