The Museum of Northern Arizona has a large collection of Zuni and Hopi Kachinas. I read a sign in the museum later that photography is prohibited! Oops!
This mural shows the sizes of 2 of the mirrors of the telescopes at the Lowell Observatory. The yellow one is the diameter of the main telescope. The large gray / blue circle is the size of the new Discovery Channel telescope that is due to be unveiled in 2011. At 14 feet in diameter, it will be a fabulous telescope!
Percival Lowell's crypt at the observatory. He died November 12, 1916. It cost $40,000 when it was built, an extraordinary amount at that time.
