This is one of the shell fossils that I saw on the Bright Angel trail. This is proof that the area that became the Grand Canyon was under a shallow sea hundreds of millions of years ago.

Late in the afternoon the Grand Canyon Mule barn is full of more than 200 animals resting afer a busy day of taking park visitors and supplies down the canyon trails.
