I wanted to hike a short way down the Bright Angel trail when I learned that there are fossils in the rock wall! It was interesting to see the difference between this wide, well-maintained trail and the Hermit trail we had hiked the day before, it was like walking on the interstate! Another difference was the presence of the mules that take visitors and supplies to the bottom of the canyon.

This is one of the Mule trains that had taken supplies to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
