Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, FL Dec. 16, 2009 I wish this plant had not been "speared" by a pine needle, but when I have to take photos from a boardwalk, I have to accept the plants as they are. Like the Tea Blinkum, this plant also has a very odd name!

Corkscrew Swamp, FL Dec. 16, 2009 These plants were way past their peak blooming time. I was lucky to find just a few flowers to photograph. The large, tall, leaves were dead and brown.
