Sanibel Island, FL Dec. 15, 2009 One of the good things about studying a wildflower for several years is that when I finally see a plant I often recognize it, I was happy to know what this one was when I saw it at Ding Darling Refuge.
These birds were getting ready to go to sleep --- at 4:30 PM! The J. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge is famous for its birds, such as these Roseate Spoonbills, White Ibis, Great Egret, Wood Stork, Little Blue Herons, Reddish Egrets and many others.
