Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park, FL Dec. 13, 2009 This is a common flower that is planted as an ornamental. Normally, I don't include ornamentals, but this one is in the wildflower books. Sometimes it is an escaped plant seen in the wild.
(how's that for an easy scientific name?!) Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park, FL Dec. 13, 2009 This iguana was kept in the Education Center at the park because it is an invasive, non-native species in south Florida. They are herbivores, so they are not dangerous.
