Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary Dec. 16, 2009 One of my goals for this trip was to find some orchids in bloom. Thanks to Don, one of the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary volunteers, I was able to see two. Since they grow in thick vegetation far from the boardwalk, they are hard to spot. I had to take this photo with my telephoto lens.

Corkscrew Swamp Santuary Dec. 16, 2009 These pretty ferns live only in Florida and grow on the tops of cypress tree knees or at the bases of trees.
