Austin, TX (Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center) March 27, 2009 I found this pretty little flower blooming in a drainage catch-basin near the parking lot at the Wildflower Center.
is a beautiful park southeast of Austin. It has spectacular limestone waterfalls. The falls were very low due to the drought, but from the photos I've seen it can have a strong flow. However, if it had I couldn't have crossed the creek and I would have missed a spectacular wildflower, the Scarlet Clematis.
