This is the mouth of the Pacific Lamprey. Unfortunately, this photo was taken through 2"-thick glass, so it didn't come out very clearly. Lampreys are not so bad looking until you see that freaky mouth!
We enjoyed seeing the salmon swim up the Fish Ladder. The water was very green and murky, so it was hard to see them unless they swam right next to the window.
This is the view of the Fish Ladder from the outside. I always thought the fish had to jump up the ladder, but there is an opening in the middle of each section for the fish to swim through. Visitors can watch the fish through viewing windows 2 stories below.
