The Royal Palace in Oslo is the home of the King and Queen. It seemed amazing to us that it was possible to walk up to the front of the building, just feet away from the entrance! Only one young military guard stood near the doors.
This guard was one of two posted at the front of the palace. Quite a striking difference from the US White House!
We had a beautiful day to visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park. The park has 212 sculptures done by Gustav Vigeland in granite, bronze and wrought iron. Most of the human figures are nude. This sculpture is the "Monolith".
