Fagerfredløs (Lysimachia punctata) "Yellow Loosestrife"

When we saw a cemetery at an old church in Flåm, I kept noticing the word "Fred" on the headstones. I thought it was odd so many people would have been named "Fred". I laughed when we were in Oslo and we saw a building with the words "Nobels Fredssenter", I realized the word fred means "peace'! Loosestrife plants were once draped over the necks of oxen to "lessen the strife" between the animals.
