This "German" soldier was actually from Lake City, TN. He was participating in the World War II reinactment during the Secret City Festival. I don't know how those guys could stand wearing those wool uniforms in the summer heat!

The German officer on the left gets assistance at the U.S. medical tent. He was an authentic German, transplanted here from Hamburg. He added an element of realism with his accent.

This little boy and a little kid became new friends at the petting zoo tent during the Secret City Festival. The Little Pondersa farm brought lambs, kids, a camel, a kangaroo, 2 emus, a large tortoise, a piglet, and a zebra/donkey hybrid for children to pet.
