White Mold on grass Milton, FL Sept. 6, 2008 I had noticed patches of grass in my parents' neighbors' yard. When I looked closer, I could see these small white mold spore cases.
spp. This fungus is commonly seen in the fall before the leaves of the Columbine plant die, it is a parasite that takes its nutrients from the leaves. This photo is one of the first I took with my new (Nov. 2007) 105mm macro lens.
I was surprised to see this hairy, gray Fungus growing on what appeared to be an old Chicken Mushroom.
