Ampullae of Lorenzini are the tiny pores located on a shark's head. They are special sensing organs called electroreceptors which can pick up the electrical fields given off by heartbeats and muscle movement. Sharks have rows of teeth that can allow a new tooth to move in to replace one that may be lost.
