Do you see the small fish in the middle of this photo? Tide Pool Sculpins are small fish that live in tide pools on the west coast. These tiny fish are extremely well camouflaged when they hide in the seaweeds growing on the rocks.
I always thought this was a Pufferfish since it puffs up as its protection mechanism. It is in the Porcupine Fish family. This one was caught on Navarre Beach Pier in Florida.
