Sector plate snowflakes are my favorite, they are highly varied and much more interesting than the dendrites. These were shot on 1-20-16.
The tiny white particles on this snowflake are rime ice, water droplets that froze to the crystal as it fell through the cloud. This gives you an idea of how tiny cloud droplets are!
