This student is looking at grains of sand through the Stereoscope. I like to introduce the students to different kinds of science equipment at an early age. Later in the year, we'll use the light microscopes to look at plant and animal cells. Cool!
Some first graders learn about the revolution of the Earth and Moon around the Sun. The Moon is a large styrofoam ball, the Sun and Earth are balloons. It doesn't have to cost a lot to show science concepts!
These boys are putting planets that I made on a sheet of black paper to learn the order of the planets in the solar system. They put them on the white solid white lines. The dotted line is for the comet.
