Pickett State Park
Pickett State Park is located northeast of Jamestown, TN. It is a lovely park that borders Big South Fork SRRA. There are interesting geological features along the many woodland trails such as huge rockhouses, a sand-floored cave, and a sandstone natural bridge.
Read MoreThe Natural Bridge is a large sandstone arch. The trail goes over and under the bridge. It would be a very lovely place to visit in May when the Mountain Laurel blooms. The park has lots of wildflowers, including: Rosebay Rhododendron, Doll's Eyes, Goldenrod, Asters, Indian Cucumber Root, Spotted Wintergreen, and Trailing Arbutus. It is a nice place to find flowers for the entire blooming season.
