Joshua Tree National Park March 20, 2007 The Yucca and Joshua Trees had a spectacular bloom year, despite the drought! Both plants have stiff, dagger-sharp leaves which discourage browsing by desert animals. The distant clouds looked as though they held the promise of rain, however we counted about 10 drops when they finally arrived!
