Buttercup Family Mt. Rainier National Park June 22, 2009 These large white wildflowers grow in damp soil, I usually saw them at the base of a hill near a ditch along the highway.
Heath Family Mt. Rainier National Park June 23, 2009 This tough little plant is one of the first wildflowers to bloom after the snow melts in the high elevations. I found these in a snow-free patch of ground as I hiked through deep snow above Paradise at Mt. Rainier.
