Spurge Family Milton, FL August 4, 2006 This beautiful white flower is a terror in disguise, look closely to see the nasty stinging nettles on the leaves and stems. It blooms all year long.
This was like a Horse-nettle on steroids! I had never seen one grow as large as this one, it was more like a small shrub at ~3 feet tall. The leaves of this plant have quite an arsenal of thorns. The tomato-like fruits are poisonous to cattle.
