Eriocaulaceae Milton, FL August 6, 2006
Rose Family Milton, FL March 16, 2008 This flower was blooming all along the roadsides in the western Florida Panhandle.
Pink Family Santa Rosa Co., FL My trusty Florida Wildflowers book did not list this flower, I guess it can't have everything! I found the name on the internet, thanks to Google! This plant does have square-headed flower clusters. It was growing at Gulf Shores National Seashore. I photographed it from a boardwalk on a dune. It is very important to always use the boardwalks at the beach, they protect plants from the dangers of trampling feet.
