Nightshade Family Bastrop, TX March 26, 2009 When we went to visit my friends, Sue and Andy in Bastrop, they took us on a walk around their property. Andy pointed this plant out to us down by the river.
Aster Family Waelder, TX March 26, 2009 These plants were very common along the roadsides near San Antonio and Austin. They are composite flowers, but they do not have ray flowers ("petals") like daisies. Each little part is an individual flower.
