Loganiaceae Milton, FL March 22, 2006 This is a common vine in the deep south. It is pretty blooming in the woods and on fencerows. This one grows on my parents' fence. The species name sempervirens means "evergreen". The vines are poisonous to goats and horses. The poison contained in the plants is gelsemine. The berries are fatal to humans if eaten.
