Falcate Orange-tip ButterflyAnthocharis mideaKnoxville, TN
(House Mountain SNA) - Knox Co.

After chasing these butterflies for 2 days, I finally managed to get this shot. It is not great, but it beats not having any photo at all! The males are easy to distinguish due to the bright orange tips on the wings, the females do not have these marks.
The caterpillars of this butterfly feed on plants of the Mustard Family.
