Hackberry Butterfly
Asterocampa celtis / Brushfooted butterfly family

This butterfly became a close companion to my friend Diana's daughter, Sara, while we hiked at Ijams. Actually "friendship" had nothing to do with it, the butterfly was attracted to her cocoa-scented sunscreen! Butterflies often land on people to drink their sweat in order to get salt and minerals they need.
