Gulf Fritilary Caterpillar
Gulf Fritilary Caterpillar
I spotted this Gulf Fritilary Caterpillar just moments after it had shed its skin. Notice how the spikes are yellow, they have not yet turned black. The caterpillar will eat its discarded skin later. I know it sounds gross, but the skin contains needed protein.
