This plant is not a wildflower, it is a very popular tropical ornmental shrub. The flowers can be red, pink, or white. Oleander is a deadly poisonous plant, all parts contain the toxins oleandrin and nerioside. People have been killed by roasting hotdogs on skewers made from this shrub. The toxins, saponins, nerioside, oleandroside, and cardiac glycosides,are also poisonous to dogs, cattle, horses, goats, and sheep.
