Willy decided on the spur of the moment to take us to this interesting nature preserve. Ecocentro Danaus is a wonderful little nature preserve run by the indigenous Maleku Indians. This man was selling masks and carvings made from balsa wood and gourds. I bought the Monarch butterfly on the bench. The tribe speaks their own language. This fellow was very friendly, he taught me how to say "thank you" in his language. It had a fun sound, "Capi, capi" (pronounced "cahpy")! I love learning new words and phrases in other languages. People in foreign countries appreciate it when visitors at least attempt to communicate in their language (even if you slaughter it like I do!). :)
