Hagenius brevistylus / Odonata
August 26, 2007
This photo was taken at a distance of about 20 yards with a telephoto lens and has been heavily cropped. Dragonflies can be quite difficult to photograph because they are weary of people and can fly up to 35 miles per hour. I had seen a Dragonhunter at Tremont in the Smokies in the summer of 2006. They are very large and colorful.
